George Juncaj was born in Montenegro before emigrating to California in the early 1980s. George played professionally for San Pedro Croatian Club and was top scorer in 1987 in the Pacific Coast Soccer League. After relocating to Michigan, George formed the Detroit United in 2002. With his knowledge and expertise George won many trophies, including his biggest achievement earning second place in the 2010 U.S. Open Cup. George is known in the soccer community across the world with clubs like SBV Vitesse (Holland), Grasshopper FC Zürich (Switzerland), and IMG Academy (United States), to name a few. George has created a reputation of respecting players and achieving success where ever he went. As the co-owner and coach of the Michigan Stars, George Juncaj will let his record speak for himself and ensure he will have successful seasons for many years to come.
