An Important Message From The Michigan Stars

From: The Michigan Stars FC

To: All of our loyal fans and teammates

After much thought and discussion it has been decided that the Michigan Stars Football Club will not be competing in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Midwest Region for the upcoming 2018 season.

The Michigan Stars have enjoyed the high level of competition the NPSL offers and will continue to provide our future players a chance to showcase their talents to the top scouts in the country.

Looking back over the last couple of seasons we have realized that, while Southeast Michigan is rich with soccer players at the club and amateur levels, the market for top level teams in this region has become saturated to the point where it has been hard for the Stars to build and sustain a substantial following.

We plan to use the coming year to evaluate our position, see what other options are available,

and be ready to come back strong in 2019.

We will still be fielding a women’s team for the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) 2018 summer season.

The Motor City Football Club is the reigning WPSL Central Greatlakes Divisions champions undefeated in 2017 with a record of six wins and three draws.

We invite you to follow Motor City FC as they look to retain their title for the upcoming 2018 season.

Stay tuned to this site, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram as we will be posting information as we move forward.

With appreciation,

Chris Corteg,
