Week 1 Recap: Las Vegas Legends FC Picks Up Where It Left Off

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 18, 2024) - Last year's NISA Nation West Regional tournament champions are still feeling it.

With two goals in the first 10 minutes, Las Vegas Legends FC ran away from Craq Intercontinental for a 6-0 victory Cristo Rey St. Viator High School on Saturday, March 16.

Sterling Penniston-John, an All-NISA Nation National Championship Best XI selection, scored the opener in the second minute for Las Vegas Legends FC (1-0-0 overall), which also got goals from Haiko Hovak (8'), Mauricio Muniz (30'), Brandon Vargas (33'), Elijah Rice (72') and Jose Lopez (73').

On Saturday, Amfed Luquez scored three times and Donovan Wilson scored twice as Temecula FC ran away for an 8-0 victory over Olympiacos CA at Chaparral High School in Temecula, CA.

On Sunday, Kevin Salto scored twice in the first half and Hector Orozco scored twice in the second half as ASC Silicon Valley topped Laguna FC 4-1 at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco, and two second-half goals from Club Tepa equaled two first-half goals from Silicon Valley Galaxy in a 2-2 draw at James Logan High School in Union City, CA.
