CHICAGO (December 15, 2023) – NISA Nation today affirmed its mission to create a nationwide pathway-to-professional league with the re-activation of the Southwest Region.

Six clubs have signed agreements to play a Spring Season beginning in March, with more clubs signing on daily. The Southwest Division will feature as many as 12 clubs in the Spring Season.

“We’re creating the pathway for players and clubs in the Southwest Region that connects real opportunities for advancement,” NISA Nation Director Matt Morse said. “From the pitch to the front office, NISA Nation’s mission is helping independent clubs create space to grow in their communities. We’re actively seeking clubs that want to accelerate that process.”

NISA Nation, a full-year league providing independent clubs a groundbreaking pathway to professional status, launched in 2021 with regions from coast to coast.

A new group of clubs in the Southwest will include AS Los Angeles, Olympiacos CA (Huntington Beach, CA), SC Union Maricopa (Gilbert, AZ) and others, with more clubs to be announced in the coming days.

The Southwest Region schedule will be released in mid-February. More NISA Nation regions will be announced soon.
