Enis Dokovic

Coach

Enis Dokovic's professional coaching career began with the Michigan Stars in July of 2020, as the goalkeepers coach. In 2021, Dokovic was promoted to assistant coach with the Stars while continuing to work with the goalkeepers. After a disappointing start to the 2022 season, Enis was promoted to interim head coach. With a third place regular season finish, Enis helped lead the Michigan Stars to the playoffs and winning the NISA Championship.  In 2023, Dokovic helped the Stars finish second in the regular season and again advance to the playoffs where the Stars eventually lost in the finals 1-0.

Enis has helped the Michigan Stars also win the Great Lakes Region Independent Cup in 2022 and 2023.

In 2022, while working with the goalkeepers, Coach Dokovic's goalkeepers had an incredible season posting 17 clean sheets in 26 games.

Dokovic's record as a coach in 2022 was 6 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss.  In 2023, his record was 13 wins, 7 draws, and 4 losses.

Enis currently holds a UEFA B coaching license and will earn his UEFA A coaching license during the 2024 season.

"As coach of the Michigan Stars, the championship is what we aim for and anything less than a championship is a disappointment for me.  Michigan Stars FC is built for success.  It's a privilege for me to be a part of this club for 2024.  It's an enormous pressure to coach for a club that expects to win every game, home or away.  Saying this, I don't want to disrespect the other teams in the league, I know the standard for the Michigan Stars is to coach this team to the best of my abilities and bring the championship back to Michigan.

I am looking forward to another exciting season. It's been a long three months since the loss in last seasons Championship game and I can't wait to be back on the field again.  I'm looking forward to coaching the players who are willing to accept this challenge in 2024.  Also, I am looking forward to seeing our fans at the games!  We are looking to set attendance records and continue and enhance the traditions that we have started.  Our first game is right around the corner and I look forward to coaching the Stars and seeing everyone at the games."  --Coach Enis Dokovic
